Each Tour is unique and tailored to the individual party.
Personal Tours of Scotland is a small family run Scottish Tour Operator , formally Brian Collie Scottish Tours.
Brian has worked in the travel and tourism industry since 1986, where he cut his teeth as a Holiday rep in the quiet sleepy Spanish resort of Benidorm, to working in Upper Class as a Flight attenant with Richard Bransons Virgin Atlantic, meeting many interesting and famous people along the way. Brian and his wife Christine also had worked for the Emir of Qatar on his Private jets for four years. Along with having a small hotel in the Trossachs area of Scotland. brians philosophy is simple “Customer service is king, treat everyone as an individual and as important as each other. In my eyes, there is no difference between the ruler of a country and a hard working couple looking for a relaxing break!”
Having had years of experience in the Travel and Customer service industries, we embarked on Personal and bespoke tours for the discerning client. It soon became apparent that there was a lot of business out there so we managed to gather some of the best tour guides in Scotland to join us. Our vehicles are varied from 16 seater Mercedes Sprinters to luxury 4×4 SUV’s.
Our operational base is out of Edinburgh but the guides are from all over Scotland so we can pick up and drop off from anywhere in the country.
What’s the criteria for a good tour guide? Personality, approachability, great customer service skills with the ability to think on their feet and of course, product knowledge. It’s pointless having a guide who know every acedemic fact but can’t tell you the words of the “Jeely piece” song! . Let us embark on an adventure that you will never forget, from 1 – 16 day experiences.
Our private tours of Scotland offer a range of experiences to meet various requirements. Whether you want to tour St. Andrews, the home of Golf, Movie Locations, Historical Stirling or look for your Clan Ancestry in the Scottish Highlands.
Want to see the famous sights as well as the hidden gems that most tourists never get to see? Then don’t hesitate to get in touch with Personal Tours of Scotland, our family run company.
