Frequently Asked Questions

We have 4 vehicles in our fleet, two 4×4 luxury cars and two 8 seater Minibuses. All vehicles are comfortable and able to give you the ultimate experience in the Highlands! For larger parties, other vehicles can be acquired.

We have three Guides: Brian, Stephen, and Rob. All passionate Scotsmen with a great love and knowledge of all things Scottish. I truly believe that Personal Tours of Scotland are the best Guides in the industry!

All accommodations that we recommend will be excellent; we will only recommend a hotel which we know is ‘up to scratch.’ Once we have finalised your itinerary, we will give you the details of hotels or B&B’s which will be suitable.

I will give you a list of accommodations in the areas that we are going to. You can either book this yourself, or we can book it for you. You will pay the hotelier directly on departure.

All tour guides will have a mobile telephone on them and we will give you the phone number for our base should there be any issues.

You can also purchase a temporary cell phone for as little as £10 whilst you are here. If you require this, let us know and we can purchase one for you.

Cell signal in the Scottish Highlands can sometimes be very unreliable; however, WIFI is available in most hotels and some of our vehicles.

A 20% deposit is required to confirm your tour. The balance should be paid seven days prior to arrival.

Things happen in life!

We understand that unforeseen events may force you to change your plans.

If the booking is cancelled prior to seven days’ notice, a full refund will be given, minus any costs incurred.

Within seven days, the first day’s tour cost will be forfeited.

All decisions will be at the management’s discretion.

Each tour is priced individually as all tours are different and thus bespoke. The cost depends on how many people are on the tour, what vehicle is used and distances covered. There may be ferries involved in your itinerary, or even a train! Once we have a basic outline of what you want, then we can give you a price quotation for your tour.
