This tour could be done from Edinburgh or Glasgow or as an On shore Excursion from Greenock.
The tour can be taken as part of a scheduled departure in a 16 seater minibus or part of a Private, flexible tour. Our first stop is by Loch Lomond, away from the tourist masses of the ship, a lovely small hike (if you wish to see some magnificentt views.) Head to the source of the river Forth at Aberfoyle to watch a free sheepdog show. Head over a mountain pass for lunch by a beautiful Loch or a quant country Pub if preferred. Walk off your lunch with a gentle stroll 20 mins each way to the stunning ‘Braclinn Falls’ We then have a choice, we understand that not all of you would like to tour a Whisky distillery, so we can take the rest to nearby Doune Cadtle This 1400’s Fortress was built by the Duke of Albany, but its recent history as a movie set has intrigued most tourists. It was used in the Movie ‘Monty Python & The Holy Grail’, The pilot episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ as Winterfell Castle, and more recently as Castle ‘Leoch’ in the blockbuster series ‘Outlander’.
Head back to the ship in plenty of time for departure.
