Day One: From Edinburgh we start by passing over the Forth Road Bridge with views on to the Forth Rail Bridge and the Firth of Forth. We will then head towards the Stirling area and take a stop at Doune Castle, which has appeared in many films and tv shows including Game of Thrones, Monty Python and Recently Outlander. We will then head on from here toward the town of Callander – The gateway to the Highlands – for a coffee and comfort break. We then enter the real highlands passing through rannoch moor and taking a lunch break in the stunning Glencoe. After lunch we head up the Coast to Appin where we can view Castle Stalker one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. From here we head round the coast to the port town of Oban.
Overnight stay in the Oban Area.
Day Two: Our first stop will be a viewpoint of Mccains Tower, an unfinished but beautiful monument overlooking Oban and the Hebridean islands of Kerrera and Mull. We start our drive south to Kilmartin Glen, and the ancient capital of the country of Dalriada. Here, you may place your foot on top of a hill fort, where the ancient kings were anointed as protectors of their people, their land and their sea. Around the peninsula to our lunch stop in the town of Inveraray, home of Clan Campbell. As we head back toward your drop off point we go through the awe inspiring ‘Rest and be Thankful” before our final stop at Scotland’s most recognised loch – Loch Lomond.
